Oh yeah, before I get stuck into this weeks Wednesday Legs.
I have been taking advantage of a superb facility not too far away from home for a few after work training runs.
Currently undergoing some significant landscaping works as part of the overall staged upgrade, Victoria Park has has had a long sporting history in South Australia.
Best known as a horse racing track, which dates back to the 1840s, the track was part of the Adelaide Motor Racing Street Circuit built for the Australian Grand Prix in 1985, and currently hosts the Adelaide 500 along with many other events, including criterium racing.
Tour de Caravan
The start of the 10 days away, with the Grand Depart from Corsica on the 29th June.
To help get into the spirit of the Tour, I’ll post some themed photos over the next few weeks that you may not yet have seen.
This weeks theme is the caravan that leads each stage and provides the colour and spectacle that is the tour.
The MG Maxifuel rider crashed early on in Round Four at Woking while on the attack, going down heavily at the top corner of the circuit in this amazing sequence of photos captured by Tour Series spectator David Child.
Barnes was back up and racing and went on to claim her third Johnson Health Tech Grand Prix Series win in a row.
The guys over at Velominati have written their very own book.
The format of the book is very different from how The Rules are presented on the Velominati website. The book is organized into V sections, with each of The Rules aligned into one of them. The sections all have an introduction, and for every Rule, a passage has been written that either provides history or in some other way justifies the Rule, or provides an anecdote from our various lives as Velominati that might provide insight into why that particular Rule is in existence. The entire text is framed with a Prologue and Finale and topped off with an introduction by my personal Cycling Writer Hero, Will Fotheringham. With the exception of a paragraph here or there that was borrowed from our archives, the entire book is comprised of new material.
